Hand Painted Blanket Chest

We purchased this piece to use in our own home because my 25 year old son has some kind of addiction to throw blankets and they were all over the living room. The size of this trunk was absolutely perfect, large enough for every throw blanket he could ever own. It also is really well built and the size (it's 25-1/2" high) is great for extra seating.
This trunk is solid wood, it's been recently painted in Country Grey (light tan) with Graphite (black) details outside - all four sides as well as the top are finished so it looks great from all angles. Inside the shellacked wood has a lovely, warm look. The sides feature beautiful cast iron handles. The trunk is on small casters which can't be seen in the photos.
This is an old trunk but it's in great shape but check out the photos to see one of the top corners which has damage as well as the strap that holds the top to the body. Neither of those things has affected its functionality and truthful, I think they add character.
So, why are we parting with it? My blanket hoarding son got his own place and it's tiny! So, no room for the blanket chest (and Paul and I don't share his addiction to throw blankets).
