David Cesar Villalba Quispe was born on November 29, 1967 in Arequipa, Peru. "One may read many things in my work," says Villalba. "I want it to be open to individual interpretation."
When we acquired this piece, we wrote to the artist David Villalba to confirm that it was indeed his work. He said it was part of a series he did several years ago which he called the 'Encuentros Series.' Encuentros is Spanish for 'encounter.'
