Rustic elegance is how we describe the painted finish we created for this large antique cabinet. In our studio, we began by painting this piece olive. The panels were then painted in cream with a pattern painted over the cream in olive. Then, using a French paint technique, we applied a pale green over the olive pattern to create a washed out look. The entire piece was hand waxed then dark wax was added to create additional depth.
This cabinet has two doors with two adjustable shelves inside. The door on the right clicks into place and door on the left locks with a key (with a matching tassel).
This practical piece is perfect for storing linens, clothing, dishes, or toys and games. This piece would look great in a mud room, bathroom, family room, bedroom, hallway, just about anywhere.
